Wrestlemania XXVII, Best evvverrrr?

This Wrestlemania was scheduled to be the biggest one of all times but I think they could have done a better job in some areas. I think most of us will agree Rock/Cena was great but just did not come close to Undertaker/Hbk top wm moment. They could have took advantage of more kickouts because that always gets the crowd guessing about who is really going to win. I mean that is why taker's mania matchs have always been so great. The best match of the night was Undertaker/HHH. I personally thought it was going to be great but not that good. You really felt like HHH was going to do anything possible to win that match. With countless chair shots and other battering hits...I mean you could literally see takers bruises on his back start to form while in the match.

Moving on to the Bryan/Sheamus match, I was pissed. I thought what in the hell just happened. It wasnt fun to watch or anything. Coming Monday night raw...I changed my opinion once I saw just how many DB fans have started forming because of this! I mean the Yes chants(Including other chants different that night), were crazy. The Yes chants have actually carried on to a lot of NBA games this week. Talk about an impact(No TNA pun intended)!

Jericho/Punks match was also a highlight of the night. Keeping us entertained with pure wrestling. We need more of that and less brute guys throwing around versions of scoop slams!

A couple more quick touches.. I am glad BigShow actually got the win at WM and finally gets to hold a title after so long. The raw/sd match...ah it was actually not bad at all but thought half those guys deserved an individual wm matchs. Kane/Orton...ah wasnt very exciting..but its good to see them give kane a win in a match finally. Divas match actually had a couple high points...I mean a little better than I thought it was going to be.

WrestleMania in a nutshell was great. with highs and lows like any pay perview has. It was one of the best Mania's ever put together, but I think they could have worked on a couple build ups for certain matchs better.

ART IMITATES LIFE

If you’ve been watching RAW within this last year, you would notice how it seems like there is actual tension between The Rock and John Cena. Well, reports from wrestlezone.com state there are personal differences between the two. According to the article, the two are cordial with one another, but it’s no secret backstage that they do not care for one another. The tension between the two built up more around Survivor Series and has been showing through in their promos, which both have been coming up with themselves. As most of you are aware this whole feud began back in early 2008 when Cena conducted an interview with the U.K. Sun magazine and openly stated why he was not a fan of Rock’s. He sais exactly what he has been saying over the last few weeks saying Rock is a hypocrite and he does not like how he (Rock) would say he’s not coming back to wrestling and no longer wanted to be associated with his name The Rock. If you were noticing as his movie roles began to pile up, he was slowly pushing people away from his wrestling persona. He started out as The Rock, and then he was billed as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and FINALLY (pun intended) he was just Dwayne Johnson. I personally never understood why he wanted to become separate from, not just the character, but the entire industry that gave him the platform to go to Hollywood in the first place. I felt like it was a slap in the face to the WWE and to the fans of the WWE and that’s what Cena’s point has been all along. While I may not be a Cena fan, I can’t help but side with him on his personal issue with Dwayne Johnson. I’m a Rock fan indeed and I can see why he went to Hollywood and wanted to make a name for himself there, who wouldn’t have done the same thing if the same opportunities were presented to others. However, I do NOT agree with him trying to distance himself away from the business that made him a star. Whether he likes it, which he seems to now, or not, he will always be known as The Rock. In regards to their match at Wrestlmania, don’t be surprised to see some real haymakers thrown in the match. As J.R. would say, this one is gonna be a slobberknocker.

IS A BRAND MERGER IN THE WORKS?

While this website speaks on rumors in the wrestling world today, we normally don’t start them, but I couldn’t help but start thinking we may be seeing a possibility of RAW and Smackdown reuniting. Before you say it’s not a possibility, take a look at some key factors from the last 3 years. The first, we use to have two tag team champions, but then at Wrestlemania 25, we saw the tag titles merge with The Colons, Carlito and Primo. From that point they were known as the Unified Tag Team Champions, then a little over a year later, The Hart Dynasty was given by Bret Hart, what would then and presently stands as the WWE Tag Team Champions. The second, the merger of the Women’s and the newly created Diva’s titles to make one division for the women. At Night of Champions 2010, Michelle McCool, alongside Layla, became the Unified Diva’s Champion, which then Laycool would be the Co-Diva’s Champions for a few months. Nonetheless, there was still, technically, one Diva’s Champion. Last August, WWE created the now RAW Supershow with the superstars of Smackdown competing on RAW as well, and some RAW superstars will show up occasionally on Smackdown, especially during the road to Wrestlemania. Now, here we are with the build up for this year’s WM28 being the war for brand control. Team Lauranitis V. Team Long with the winner’s representative becoming the GM of both RAW and Smackdown. I don’t know if this is a sign of things to come, but from what I can gather, we may quite possibly be seeing the workings of a future brand merger again very soon. If that’s the case, then get ready for a huge talent cut in the upcoming future, and, if reports are true, the first wave of talent cuts may start following Wrestlemania.

HELL IN A CELL… ENOUGH SAID!

I can’t believe how fast WM28 is approaching. We are now 26 days away from this historic night. One of the reasons why this will be a historic night is the advertised Hell in a Cell match between Undertaker and Triple H, and last night, we were informed Shawn Michaels, himself, will be the special guest referee. There are so many interesting facts to this match as it is. 1.) This will only be the second time we’ve seen HIAC at Wrestlemania. 2.) This will be the third and hopefully final time we will see HHH/Taker at WM. 3.) This will be the first time HIAC will be done outdoors. It’s hard to believe, but I’m excited for this match. When the build up for the match started almost a month ago, I was not looking forward to it. As a matter of fact, I sent a text to a buddy of mine saying the only way I could get into this match a third time is have the match be HIAC and HBK as the referee. Sure enough, three or four weeks later we have both elements in the match. I personally think it’s great. We have the masters and innovators of this match in their match. Look at the facts, Undertaker has the record for most appearances in the Cell followed by none other than Triple H. Triple H has only been defeated one time in the Cell and holds the record for the longest HIAC match in history, along with Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels faced the Undertaker in the first and arguably greatest, Cell back at Badd Blood ’97. The three men who are staples in the Cell’s history are all in this match. What makes this interesting is who is HBK going to screw over? Last night we heard HBK he’ll be right again this year on who will walk away with the victory. Does that mean he will screw Triple H so that his claim of no one being able to beat Taker at WM holds true? Or will he screw Taker and let his buddy “finish” the dying era and the legendary winning streak? This has every element to be the greatest HIAC in history and I can honestly say, I look forward to this match up between these to legendary figures with a hall of famer as the referee on April 1st. Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Hell in a Cell. History will be made again.

WHO IS
"BEST IN THE WORLD"?

With Wrestlemania 28 on the horizon, everyone has been waiting and talking about Rock V. Cena. No doubt, that is the drawing match this year. In my opinion, the match that WILL steal the show is Chris Jericho V. CM Punk. Some of you may be thinking how could I say this match will trump the anticipated clash of Cena and Rock? Quite frankly, it comes down to ring work history. These are some match facts; Jericho has had classic battles, not just at Wrestlemania, but over his entire career. When he says there is nobody he hasn't faced and beaten before, he’s right. Here is just a small list, HBK, HHH, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Ric Flair, The Rock and Stone Cold (those last two were in the same night). CM Punk also has had some amazing matches during his tenure in WWE; John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, HHH, Randy Orton, John Morrison, Alberto Del Rio and Jeff Hardy. Both have shown in more than one organization and all over the world they are experts in their craft and can deliver when needed. This is an instance where it’s needed. Miami has been waiting for Rock V. Cena, but both Jericho and Punk want to prove why you should be talking about them. This past RAW we heard the first one-on-one verbal confrontation between the two, and you could, not only hear, but feel the passion between them and what this match means to them. Both have claimed and shown why they can call themselves “The Best In The World,” but now there can only be one. I have to admit, as much as I’m excited for Rock and Cena, I’m more excited to watch what can possibly be the best pure wrestling match of the entire night. After the match is over one of these men will not only be able to call themselves the WWE Champion, but they will have the right to call themselves truly The Best in the World.
